Before the monster — the men who sailed toward him.

The Voyage is an original giclée art print from Sophie Atkinson's Frankenstein: Illustrated series, depicting the crew of Robert Walton's Arctic expedition — laughing, weathered, alive — on the deck of their ship as storm clouds billow overhead. It is the world before Frankenstein's story breaks through it: full of warmth, camaraderie, and the terrible optimism of men who don't yet know what they're sailing towards.

This scene appears in the fully illustrated edition of Frankenstein, available to buy in the store — the perfect companion piece to this print.
